I've been buying Motorola X series phones for the past few years as they are well built & have little extra garbage on them.
So this is a bit pricey relative to what I usually pay, but because of the thinner Bevel it would be around the same size as my X4, and also without any bloat, plus I'd get updates in a timely fashion. (I don't care about having "the very latest always" as some people do, but Motorola have become terrible at getting out even updates that fix actual problems in the OS in the last year or so)

That's because Motorola is now owned by Lenovo, having changed hands from Google.

I'm really not sure about that gigantic notch on the XL. I like big phones but if it were me, I'd go for the smaller 3.

Don't really like this trend in phones having notches.

Yep, I know. In all honesty, when Google took the phones over from Motorola itself, there was a downturn. But now with Lenovo it's worse. A shame, as the phones themselves are really tough & very reasonably priced for what you get

It's so every Company can claim that their phones are "Top Notch!" :rotfl:

Poor Google. 6 comments 24 hours after announced. The iPhone had hundreds! A nice microcosm of consumer apathy towards this product.

Unfortunately we really don't know much about the phone because there have been no proper reviews, and looking at the specs doesn't really tell you much, since its not the first Snapdragon 845 phone so its not a combined launch of a new fast processor.

I'd personally like to see how the camera performs compared to the other flagship models, but proper reviews are very much lacking.

We are still waiting for the reviews of the Sony XZ2 Premium that was released ages ago.

Reviews for the iPhone XS are already on DXO - Mobile Reviews - DxOMark and Huawei P20 Pro is still top of the tree. It will be interesting when the other models that are due for release are reviewed.
