Hi All.
This is my first post so please bear with me. I have a stand-alone powered subwoofer - 150 W connected to a Yamaha 100 Amp. It recently died and we initially traced the problem to a couple of faulty burned out switches (i.e NPN, PNP if that makes it clearer). We replaced the fuse with a 1 amp slow blow. The LED light comes on BUT when connected to a DVD player and then later to the YAMAHA amp, no sound is produced. The sub will hum louder as the volume increases. Which circuit board is responsible for carrying the signal to the speaker and can it repaired or replaced?
