Ok so i have looked at these forums for a few years and have been amazed by what some people (and a shed load of money) can achieve however it has not been until now that I have had my own home to be able to have a go myself.

Initially I had planned to get a projector but quickly realised that to install it all properly so things were hidden away would require ripping up floors and chopping cables into walls which to be honest I cant really afford to do. So with that in mind here is my on the cheap effort at a home cinema setup.

I have still yet to mount the 2 front and 2 rear speakers on the wall but I am still deciding about what to do with the cables.

The TV bench was only £130 from ebay so I wasn't expecting much but it's actually quite well made considering the price.

Anyway I know this is not a patch on what some people have done but I just wanted to share it so people in my position can see what's available to them.

    Very nice, dude!

I've wanted a poffe with storage like that for ages but can't seem to get them anywhere. I assume you got it with the couch - where did you buy the couch from?

Nice mate, the couch could do with a few cushions though!

Also good to see someone who mounts their tv at the correct viewing height. So many people put them too high.

only just got the sofa so not got round to getting any cushions yet and as I don't have a missus I have had no one nagging at me to get some lol.

the sofa, chair and pouffe were from DFS, its called splash and was on offer until the end of last month.

The surround sound system is a Pioneer HTP-071 with standard speakers, a basic system but plenty good enough for me. just need to get the speakers on the wall and the rears hooked up.

Lol if you had a misses the pink poka dot cushions would be straight on there already lol

Just looking at your sub in the pic, it doesn't look to be standing on anything, you can get special slates for them to stand on or just a random piece of marble cut to size, meant to make them sound abit better and stop any vibrations
