I'm want a new multi-region DVD player and have found 2 well reviewed models reasonably priced at RS, the Toshiba SD220 and Sony DVPNS700.

Is the £65 difference justifiable for the SACD capable Sony?

    Cheers

    John,

just make sure that if you buy from RS they supply you with a ver 1.4 firmware SD220E. I bought mine from RS and they supplied me with the older 1.3ver unit. It took some time for them to swap the unit for the necessary 1.4ver unit.

Overall though I am extremelly pleased with the tosh. Great pictures and sound and looks nice and neat too.

    Mark :)

Personally I'm going with the Tosh for all the diggery-doo extras, mp3 playing etc... But do remember that firmware issue.
