    Hi guys...

First of all I must apologise for my complete lack of knowledge. Go easy on me!

    Heres my situation...

I am about to purchase a Panasonic TH42PW7B as my TV.

To go with it I am getting a Panasonic SCHT1500 home cinema system.

I will be using a SKY+ digibox also.

Now although it may sound silly I really have no idea how I go about connecting all this together. I assume I need some form of terminal board? How does the sound output for sky get into the home cinema system etc?

I have come accross this little RGB to plasma screen box. Is this the kind of thing I need?

I have read a little about audio sync problems. Would this box fix these sort of issues? How serious a problem is it anyway?

Basically what I want to know is, what is the best way to connect this lot up in order to get the best picture quality in all areas.

Lastly do you think my choice of TV and home cinema system are good ones? I really wanted an all in one home cinema package to minimize hassle as I am so new to all this.

Again I apologise... I have tried to read up on everything but the amount of information is mind boggling and I have just ended up completely confused.

Thanks for your time guys! It's much appreciated.

Sorry to bump this thread but I'm hoping to order everything later today.

Can anyone help clarify for me?

Can I just do the following?

Get the PW7 with component terminal board...

Hook up the DVD recorder/Player to the component in on the terminal board.

Buy a JS VGA to plasma box and connect sky+ through that.

One Question though.... How will I get the audio from Sky+ through my home cinema system?

What lead goes from the JS box to the Plasma screen mate?

VGA cable, same as a standard PC to monitor one (presiming your not using DVI)

Leigh is correct, it would be a standard PC cable.

From what I have read this method is the best way to get SKY+ into a PW7.

So would the method I have described work? I am a little confused about the two different types of component terminal board. There are BNC and RCA available. Which type do I need to hook up my DVD player/recorder from the Panasonic SCHT1500 home cinema system?

    Thanks guys
