Hi everybody - this is my first post so please be gentle :) !

I am planning to buy a new system and would like to have strong audio performance along with strong home theatre sound (..and peace and goodwill on earth for all while I'm at it!).

I am keen on two zones with different sources as I'd like my stereo music to be in the lounge while the TV is in the family room. Have been reading the posts here and some magazines and ersearching the net and have narrowed my choice down to :

    - Aracm AVR300, Yamaha RXV2400RDS and the Denon 3805.
    - Speaker - Canton CD1 setup for home theatre and the Canton CD10x2+ASC22 subwoofer for the stereo music (i'd like to go for small speakers)

I am willing to spend upto £1500 - £2000 on the whole thing if necessary as I don't tend to change stuff too often.

Would like some advice on -

    a. which receiver to buy

    b. what you think of the choice on speakers

    c. Can the second zone(stereo) speakers also use a powered sub-woofer and 2 speakers and be connected to these receivers?

    d. are the remotes that come with these receivers capable of multi room functionality ? Are there remotes that would show me a display of what's playing on the source int he other room.

    cheers

Dont know anything about the speakers but which ever amp you choose will do the job wanted superbly. The Arcam will be the best in stereo with the Yamaha the best for Home Cinema and the Denon in the middle. Can you get a Demo of the recievers to see if you like their sounds as they all have there sound quirks :D The Yamaha remote wont show you what is happoning in the other room.

Hope this helps a little :)

Ok i should say the style of sound, maybe instead of quirks.
