I currently have an old 20" mono CRT TV, I am looking to upgrade to the likes of a ~24-32" LCD or plasma screen, What is better and which models should I look at. I use my TV alot for normal tv viewing, dvds and use with my xbox. What advice can you guys give me and what would you recommend I get, my max budget is £2000, but prefer to spend less. The screen will also have to be table mounted as I have no where suitable to wall mount it.
    Thanks in advance guys :)

Search this forum for Sharp, Philips and Toshiba for 26"-37" derivities that are HDTV ready.

Also seach for the 'HDTV Ready' thread, there is a list in there.

Well, to say that you're on an LCD forum, you know what answer you'll get !

In my eyes, Plasmas are more bang for your buck. You get a bigger screen and better viewing angles (ALthough LCD is catching up) but there aren't many that are HDTV ready and they suffer from burn in.

LCD are more expensive but many are HDTV ready and don't suffer from burn in.

It's best to read the threads on the 'Plasma vs LCD' to get more information.

    Richie.
