Newbie : PT AE100 and Lecson 1000

    Hi,

    I've been following some of the threads here with interest, I'm very close to putting my hand in my pocket for a PT AE100 and Lecson 1000..

    Can somebody just clear up a couple of points, how do I connect the Lecscon to th AE100 to get both NTSC and PAL PS ??

    I'm guessing with the component out, but I've got a little confused with all the different connector and PS mode..

    Go for the Panny by all meens, but hold of on the Lecson, it has a streaking problem with progressive scan.
    To answer your question, the Lecson has componant out just for progressive scan, you need a set of componant leads to connect from there to the Projector.
    If you read through my earlier threads on the Panny with the Lecson you will know what I am talking about.
    I believe Cyberhome are bringing out a progressive scan player soon, and it should be cheap.

    Excellent, thanks for that :)

    Hoping to pickup an AE100 as soon as they come back into stock, anybody got any recommendations for screens (remote) to use with this PJ..

    Once again thanks, what a helpful chap :)

    Going to get rid of my Toshiba 40PW03B and buy a more normal TV, and use the PJ for DVD's etc..

    Be sad to see my old Tosh go though, its a great box :) Much better than the Sony KP41DS1 it replaced :mad:

    I put an advert in the "for sale" forum and had one interesting nibble already. If you know anybody that might want a nice RP
    Tosh point them in my direction...

    Yes, that's my tellie, it is crap! :mad: no more Sony product's in this House.

    Yeah I had my KP41 for about three months, bit of an impulse purchase :eek: It had really bad streaking across the screen e.g.
    if you had a dark background and a light object in the foreground it would band across the screen !!!

    Sony came out about 3 times to try and fix it but they didn't get anywhere really. Returned it to the shops I bought it from as "not of merchantable quality". They weren't to upset as I bought the Tosh and a decent Sony DVD Player..

    Think my wife will be glad to see the back of the Tosh though, it is a bit bulky..

    Also anybody know a good place ot get an AE100 that has a good dead pixel policy ?
