    Yup you can rig up 9 speakers if you have the room but you cant use more than 7 + sub at one time unless you have the rz9

    :oops: I did search & read the info on this amp, BUT being a bit of a newbie to this, some of the jargon and terms is jargon to me (but im starting to pick it up), thats why i asked is it worth getting for what i want to connect to it? Sorry for asking again (Dfour)

    There is no problem with asking advice and/or explanation of certain features, BUT you did originally ask for details of features and spec; so I think it was quite correct that the search facility was pointed out.

    As far as the other part of your query - I can't see any problems or conflicts. The 750 is a very capable AV amplifier and I doubt that you will be disappointed, although it is difficult to be certain of that with the limited information you have given.

    The only thing to really worry about is the fact that this amp only has two component inputs, so you need to look at what you watch the most and which sources should have the best quality connections.

    My own personal preferences would be
    DVD -->Component connection in
    Sky -->RGB to component converter (loads of threads) --> Component in
    PS2 -->S-vid in -->Component upconversion in amp
    XBOX-->S-vid in -->Component upconversion in amp
    VCR -->Composite in -->Component upconversion in amp

    Component out -->Plasma

    This amp is also 7.1 capable so you may want to get some more speakers for the rears.

    Dfour, you must be a mind reader, these are the speakers that i have got in mind, but the whole 5.1 set up i.e Front MS914 (poss MS 906 if budgets allows), Centre MS 905c, Surrounds MS 903, Sub 309 all hooked up to a yammy 750 amp, what do you think, are these well matched/sounding?

    cant see anything wrong with that at all though from what i have read hooking sky up through component on your amp is bad and you will probably get a better picture through normal rgb (if you use a decent cable) though i have no first hand experiance of this i am just going on what i have read. Though i noticed a significant leap in picture qualit through sky by just using a better scart cable. The rgb only squart from super-fi is like 25 quid and its very good (ie what i am currently using )
