Newbie help with sony dav-s880

    Oh lord wont you buy me a mercedes benz!
    Being new to this home cinema I am a bit lost.
    Here is what I want to connect to a sony 32 inch widescreen TV model number 32CS70B i also have a sky digibox and a motorised sat system echostar ad-3000ip and wish to connect through a sony dav-s880. what cables etc, do I need, to get up and running, be gentle with me I am a virgin :laugh:

    I don't know what the connections are at the back of the Sony but usually you would use the phono outputs on the tv and connect them to the amp. Provided your other equipment is connected to the tv via scarts, their sound output will be channelled through the tv and out through the phono leads. This will enable you to get Dolby Prologic II sound if your kit does it, or DPI.
