Hello - This is my first experience with a projector. I have a room in which the projector is ceiling mount and about 13' away. I have a 120" Elite Screen non-perforated. My source is a Roku ultra.
My hopes were to be able to watch 4k movies in a dark room and 1080p for football in dimly lit room.
I didn't know what projector to buy in my under $1k budget so I bought the Viewsonic PX701-4k. I am very disappointed and figured I was doing something wrong.
On Youtube 4k sample content, it looks great. On 4k Netflix movies, it is only okay. On 1080p it is not very good, especially football, not good on movement.
I also struggling with what seems to be good color and contrast. It looks good and then switching to a different movie and it looks horrible (overboosted and contrast on faces).
Please give me a direction to look at. Thanks!
