I am considering getting a Panasonic HS2 recorder soon, can anyone recommend any particular receiver and speaker set-up to work with it to give surround sound.

A bit of an open ended question, but that is really my problem, there is so much choice there to start.
Probably want pro-logic II, probably want to play audio CD/DVD formats. Not using any digital broadcast sources.

    Thanks

As a starter guide price range £300-700.

Just knowing what to trade off is the problem. If another hundred would really make a difference then I'd just have to save up a bit longer.
