I heard the original dpx-1000 was an Epson Tw1000 underneath, I assume this is the same for the new model.

I also would like any info.

I have a pdf file with the full specs of the DPX-1100 but it is too big to post on the forum.

If anyone wants it - send me an email and i will email the attachment back to you.

The LPX500 was the one that was a Epson TW100 underneath. The DPX-1000 was a totally different beast on a par with the Sharp Z11k and Marantz S3.

Make sure to look what the ANSI lumen is at its highest contrast setting., 800 ANSI could be considered as a bare minimum.
the yam drops to 400 ansi at CR of 4000:1 which isnt great
unless your room is completely light controlled (including the right wall paint etc)

Its got a 7 segment colour wheel like the Mitsubishi HC2000, thought this traded brightness against contrast? In theory this makes it better that teh merrantz s3 and teh sharp z12000, in theory...

Why does it make it better than the S3 or Sharp 12k? They both have the 7 segement wheel also
