At the moment I have a Onkyo PR-SC5507 and the Pioneer 1575 power amp. Following a move I do not really have room for them both and need to go back to an A/V receiver.

I am considering the Yamaha RX-V3067 or the Pioneer SC-LX83. I know the Yam is considered a softer sound and the Pio more bright. I have M&K speakers 750's front and T24 rears and a pair of BK.XXLS400 subs (which are run off a SVS AS-EQ1).

I have had a Yam in the past but too long ago to really remember it much, but I remember I changed it to upgrade and not because I didn't like it. I've never had a Pio but I do like a more bright sound and I believe the Pio is regarded as being so. I have also read that the Pio's "curve" has a number of presets which can be used to tame the brightness. which could help if it was too bright. I am only interested in movies as I play music very rarely nowadays.

With the M&K's being 4 Ohms is this also something that I need to consider in my choice.
