Some of you may remember i posted a 10min in game clip of COD2 a while ago a thread that got neglected and only MunkeyBoy replied to IIRC :( that video started on a beach which the yanks climbed and went onto victory and was an amazing video showing how good COD will be on next gen.

Well im back which to my knowledge is a new in game video from COD2 from what looks like a mission in Africa or some desert type place like that in which the yanks do some more stuff :) the water front scene looks great :)

this is xbox 360 footage not PC

i urge fans to take alook :smashin:

oh link :) the vid quality aint great but you get the idea

That's looking superb!! Both in terms of the great "on rails" gameplay that we've come to love from COD and also the superb graphics. I thought that the smoke bits were very well done. The AI looked OK, although it mostly looks scripted (as you'd expect from COD1) as opposed to the enemy thinking and reacting to you more (ala Halo). Scriped enemies can work if done well, although I tend to find replaying the game less fun if you know pretty much what to expect each time.

This will definately be on my launch list!

this was always going to be on my launch list. loved the first + expansion on the pc and added to that the multiplayer side was some of the best witnessed by gaming ever IMO. the sheer amount of fun to play it was great and im confident it will be better this time around. scripted games when done well ala COD are the best gaming experience's ive had. there are just things you cannot do without scripted play and some people like totally random elements so its hard to find a fine balance. A.I seemed ok but i doubt that was on the high diffuculty tbh. been keeping tabs on the game and inifinity ward claim the A.I is actually alot better this time around, but hell you wouldnt slate your own game. pity the video is a dodgy cam that would look fab in 720p :D

as we come closer more gameplay vid's will follow :D made up it was 360 footage and not pc so it just shows to me the power that this machine has to offer :)

After watching the official trailers I was not overly impressed, just looked like medal of honour, after watching this footage though my opinions have altered somewhat, this may end up being worth a look at when released.

Even with the quality of the footage, that looks ace  . Can imagine that running in 720p and DD5.1 - going to be an awesome experience

If it improves even more, then its going to be far better than the current gen versions

That looks AMAZING - when the player stops moving, the detail is simply outstanding. Cannot wait!

may have been the case as the final dev kits only got released a few weeks ago so maybe the framerate will be locked at 60 on the new kits. going on the way cliff from the Gears of war team was banging on about the final kits they are something special :)

Ohh, I actually was not that interested in this game, but after seeing that video if PGR3 does not make launch i will get this as a launch title, can afford 2 games at launch, fingers crossed for pgr3 and dead rising, if 1 of them don't make it then i'll get this, but oh i like the look of kameo as well, oh damn it, I might just get a ps3.

I was happy with my ps2 u know, i would buy about 3 games a year for it, mgs gta and a wwe game, that would be it, but with xbox when it launched there was always something, i got halo then a few single player games then eventually i got live, and have been hooked since, admittedly since halo 2 theres not been many AAA titles, just awaiting 360 now.

Damn I wish they would stop releasing all these in game movies....I was only going to get a couple of games at launch but there are so many that look good I am goin g to be completely skint on December 2nd

Just downloaded the PC demo of COD2 and it has really made me want it for the 360 (my pc is not amazing so there were a few problems with it slowing down in places ).

The Xbox 360 version has been confirmed by the developers to be running at 60fps thanks to its multi-core CPU structure (compared with just 30fps on the PC version). One of the cores is used exclusively to handle the DD5.1 sound effects according to XboxWorld360!

Asda do 360 game preorders and at £33?

I might just pick up a few launch games from their, even online the cheapest is £40, or is this for the PC game?

Edit: Thanks for the pointer mate it looks like all launch games can be had for £34 at Asda online but the deal only runs till monday midnight. I'm going to preorder my games now! You just saved me £12, thanks mate!

Graphically it doesn't look any better than the pc version, seems to run a heck of a lot smoother though.

Well it is a PC port after all so I wouldn't expect the detail etc. to be any better. The fact that it's smoother and that you don't need to splash out on a top of the range PC to play it at it's best is good enough for me from a launch title!

Theres also some great in game footage at gametrailers . In one of the videos you see an enemy soldier slip in the ice and then try to regain his footing. Incredible
