Having just paid my usual bill with Virgin Media they have offered me the HD V+ box. I've taken them up on the offer and it will be installed on Friday.

I currently connect my Sky box via SCART/VGA Converter to my ageing but reliable Panasonic PW6 TV. I'm not really in a position to purchase a new TV just yet so I'm wondering how to get the best out of the connection. I've read a few pages on this forum advising that my TV is more than capable of keeping up with some of the latest HD TV's, but I'm not sure about connections.

Does the Virgin Media box support VGA, Component or will I just need to continue using my Scart to VGA converter. If the latter will I lose quality on the non HD channels, or miss out on this wonderful upscaling feature I've heard about.

Thanks,
Andy

have you tried the sticky on cable tv and services

when you say offered, did they offer free installation on it?!!?

The V+ box supports HD and SD upscaling through 3 RCA Component connections. However you may not be able to get some On demand HD content via this route as there are some copyright issues involved.
