I have ended up with 2 Tamron lenses. Both brand new. I asked for money towards the lens for my birthday but quite generously I have been bought one as a gift (across numerous family members I might add ). Unfortunately I'd already bought one, a little impatiently it would now seem. Out of courtesy I would prefer to sell the lens I purchased and keep the gift lens. It's never been used, I left it in the box just in case something like this happened. The pictures attached are the first time it's been out of the box. I have the receipt but as the 5 year warranty has not been registered I'm keeping back that info and the serial number on top of the box (covered by the bit of paper). This was purchased for £219 on 16th June from Cameracentreuk. The 5 year warranty must be registered within 2 months, so still plenty of time. Ideally this suits a face to face buyer to avoid postage fees. I am based in Kidderminster but find myself across the West Midlands regularly and even as far as Coventry if anybody wants to meet. No offers on price, if it doesn't go I'll just bite the bullet and ask the family to return the one they purchased.
