Panasonic Unveils Next Generation of TV Technology with 2016 Line-Up of 4K Pro Ultra HD TVs
Thank you for starting a thread, didn't know how to do it.
Anyone with more information on the dx8 and dx750? Love the fact they kept the 58 size for them. They don't look like they pass the premium certification. Hope I am wrong
I love the look of that stand on the DX802 but can see it being marmite for sure (for the non UK readers that means you'll either love it or hate it!)
Stand to me just looks plain ri-dica-dodalous, also the 802 only goes up to 58"?
Yeah, that stand is bonkers. Does the tv double as a blackboard?
I was hoping for an announcement about further Pana oleds. I wonder if more is to come and this one was just about Led TVs.
As silly as this sounds half of me wonders how close the DX802 is going to be priced to the 58 inch DX902 because of that stand - it makes me think is it going to be priced up there with the Loewe's and B&O sets of this world maybe?
Definitely one for people without kids - I'm wall-mounting my TV as high as it'll go to keep it away from my daughter!
The wording does seem to suggest that it's only the 902 that is HDR Premium. Will be interesting to see how the HDR on the new models compare to the current 802 once that receives it's update.
I've just noticed over on Corias' thread on hdfever.fr it suggests the DX802 and below may be edge lit sets!
The 802 has the ugliest stand that i have seen since the Samsung KE55S9C. (That looked even uglier in the flesh than the photos.)
I prefer a stand top be (a) unobtrusive and (b) hold a large TV up even on a cabinet that is less wide than the TV.

That stand on the 802 is terrible imo... some might like it, i think its a bit meh.... looks like something seen on a fancy mirror..
Where do the designers get these crazy designs from, those stands look total garbage.
The easel design reminds me of this Samsung S9:
It's an interesting design.
No new Oled was a big big letdown from panasonic.
That's one way of putting it...
The stand dominates the tv so your eyes are drawn away from the picture, less is more as far as a stand is concerned, I don't want to notice it!!!.
Its going to be interesting trying to range it in store, The idea of multi position stands for the rest of the range is great though, We've been saying/moaning to the rep's since the AX802 range we would have sold more if the stand wasn't so stupidly wide.
No new Oled can as no surprise for me, Panasonic have been busy creating the 902 and from what i understand LG did not want to supply 55'' screens to them.
It's not any more distracting than a table/cabinet surely?
All i hope is the integrated Sound bar is good, would be pointless having it and still having to by a separate system because it sounds flat and muffled.
Shame they didnt have a better design on the 902 look slight dull vs the 800 fresh modern design
TPS are listing the 58" DX802 @ £1799 and the 50" DX802 @ £1599.
Wish they were doing a 65" as that might have been under £2k, they obviously don't want to rob sales from the 902.
Does this mean the 680b will now get a price drop I'm waiting patiently
it's a shame this series DX802 is not a full-led and is only 8-bit panel is not 10-bit and not certified UHD Premium !
If it was it would be £2500 so almost the same as the 902.
I don't want to build my hopes up but when I was searching online for pricing using the model numbers, I found all the models listed on BBCs iPlayer compatibility list, including a 50 inch 902!
I just hope the DX750 comes in black as well.
