Ive got a Thomson 32" 100Htz and i totally regret buying it! Its a year old and i want rid of it.

I want to go bigger, so i was thinking about a 42" Tosh RPJ. What are they actually like?

What cons do RPJ TV's have?

    I don't want a 100Htz. Or DD 5.1

Ive got a Tosh 520 DVD player so what would suit this?

The Tosh ive seen is the 42PW23P which is about £1400 As far as i know! This is about my limit. So any advice would be greatfull as i dont plan on wasting money again.

And a good cheap place to get one from.

Any recomendations would be greatfull as well.

    Cheers.

I've got the 42PW23P....50hz NICAM set

I'll give the set 9 out of 10. Pretty much perfect, a couple of minor gripes but IMO better than Plasma. NTSC scanlines are hardly noticeable, and great PQ. Even brightness all over.

If I place my head 1 foot below the screen it's still even brightness- not like the top part of the screen just fades away. Horizontol viewing distance is very good as well.

I can attach a snapshot, PM me and I'll attach it.

edit my Tosh has Component (reason why I bought this instead of a Sony, as my DVD player doesn't have SCART RGB) and using this input- very good PQ, and I guess component is better anyway.

Oh if you watch Region 2 PAL (50hz) DVD's you might notice flicker- it looks pretty bad. My DVD collection is NTSC (60hz) seems to have no flicker.

I can't see flicker on terrastial tv though.

I bought the set from unbeatable.

Sounds like bad 100hz processing/poor NTSC conversion board then.

It wasn't that bad at first, well i mean when i watched a DVD i had to turn the Digital noise reduction off (DNR) else i got smearing. With it turned off it was watchable, but i then got some Flickering or Digital noise with it off. But then i could/can watch it with it on.
