Hi, i want to buy a new tv, max price for me is 600eur, so can you recommend some good for me? I dont know what size is good for me 43 or 48, 49, 50? I watch tv from about 2,5, 3m, and to go for a FHD or UHD? I will use tv mostly for cable, XOne gaming(i have fat not S), netflix, YT, movies, tv shows and so on... Brand is not important, because now i have Vox (low end tv in Serbia), and its very bad, so whatever i buy it will be great. So Sony, LG, Samsung, Philips, Panasonic, any of that brands.
Btw Happy New Year from Serbia! :)

2.5-3m is optimal for 1080p, likely you won't notice UHD at that distance even on a very big TV.

I would look at the Samsung J6300 and J6240. Sony also do some FHD models like the w8xxc range and w7xxc range.

I wouldn't look at any 2016 FHD TV's as I don't believe they are good quality.

You could also pick up a cheap UHD TV like the Samsung KU6000 but you won't benefit from the UHD resolution and SD pq will look worse. They are also 60hz panels vs 120hz.

    Happy new year!

@Dodgexander so to stick up with 1080p 4K is not recommended for this distance. And what diagonal? 43 or 49? I was thinking on Samsung 49K6300 its about 560eur, J series I cant find on my market, and Sony I can find but 43inc has reasonable price 49 not so much (above 600eur). I was thinking also on Philips 43pus6501 because of 120hz panel, or Panasonic DX600 49inc, but its not worthy? Thanks for helping my head want to blow up, too much info for my brain :)

Well the 2016 FHD models there isn't much info. I saw the K6300 get a decent review on which.co.uk here but that's about it and I'm not sure how much I trust their expertise when it comes to televisions. That's why I mentioned the J series (2015) and Sony w805/w807/w809/w855/w857/w859c & w755/w756c tv's.. Here at least you can get the J6300 and J6240 (or J6250) in some places, sometimes some very good deals. If you can't find those I guess the only option is to take a risk. Problem is because of lack of info I have no idea what panel types most of the 2016 tv's use.

The DX600 Panasonic is a UHD model btw, but it does use a nice VA panel at 40", not 49" though.

The Philips uses an IPS panel but is a well reviewed TV on here so that may be a good bet.

I had another look on a french website and found the following FHD tv's use VA panels, problem is they only tested 40" versions, so there's nothing to say 49"/50" will be the same.

    Samsung UE40k5600
    Sony KDL-40WD650
