    Hi,

Now I'm not too sure about this, just wanted some reassurance really. I bought a new TV cabinet from Argos which has a thick wooden top to stand the TV on.

Whilst I was building it, I rested my knee on the underside and it went through!!! Now, I noticed there was braces in it I'm guessing for strength, but I'm not confident on it holding my TV despite it apparently able to take 70KG.

Is this normal for furniture from the cheaper end of the market? The top side seems solid, just taping the bottom of it sound hollow in many places.
