Yes i agree the sets look nice and i am well pleased with my 40pw03.....one question though...they are all pictured as being 4:3 screens, why no widescreen sets?

It definitely looks widescreen to me - especially in the large image.

Of course, they are widescreen, it says so in the description! If a 'W' appears in the product code of most brands, then it will be a widescreen tv.

Pictures and specifications of the new Toshiba rear-projection DVB TV’s are available on Techtronics site at:- <a href="http://www.techtronics.com/uk/shop/863-00-rear-projection-tv.html" target="_blank">http://www.techtronics.com/uk/shop/863-00-rear-projection-tv.html</a>

<br />I think that they look pretty good and the 42” is impressively slim at only 415mm. The digital tuner is a handy bonus as well.

I’m still trying to decide whether to go for a newer TV or projector to replace my 4:3 sony 41 KV41-S3. The main reason for getting rid of the Sony TV was because I was told that it was too big, black and bulky for our chosen decor (you know, Ikea/Habitat stuff.) The new Toshiba's have a much higher Wife Acceptance Factor, so I should stand a pretty good chance of getting purchase approval.

Hopefully I should have a better idea after “The Event” in Glasgow this weekend as to whether a projector would be suitable. I’d love one, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to convince my wife :)

    Cheers

    Martin.

    Guys-

I've been waiting for the 42in Tosh for months, having nearly taken Delta's advice and gone for the 46WH08 (missus saw it- "too big"). It was supposed to launch in August. I rang Tosh to see when stock would become available- even Curry's had it on their 'system' and was told that they had decided not to launch the range in the UK at all ! <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <br />All the guy would say was that they had had some problems with the digital tuner and that they would be continuing with the current WH range. He sort of suggested that some of the delay may have been due to the On Digital relaunch as ITV Digital. Very strange.

I've turned my attention to the new 42 in Panasonic as the Sony is just too expensive for a RP without digital or even component inputs to justify the price. Anybody seen one yet in the flesh?

This was about 2 weeks ago so perhaps something has changed by now. I certainly hope so!
