Hi, I'm new to sky, and got sky fibre but struggling with the Q hub. My Asus router gave good wifi all over the house, really struggling with the Q hub, 2 bedrooms out of range.

I've tried following the thread to change from an SR-102 router, but it doesn't seem to work for me (possibly because its a different router).

Does anyone know how to change from the Sky Q hub?

I'll be honest, had i know that wouldn't be able to swap the router I wouldn't have ever bothered with Sky.

Regards,

Darren.

The easiest route would be to turn off Wifi on the Sky Q hub and then use the Asus as a wireless access point.

The not so easiest route would be to install modified firmware on your Asus router (which I can't tell you if it works or not as you haven't enlisted the model number) and use an Openreach modem. You would then ditch the Sky Q hub completely.

You could also purchase a Billion 8200N router. These (once installed with the required firmware) are an all in one solution which I believe just works. However i've never used one.
