New to projector game. A few questions if you don't mind

I recently bought Dr J professional 6800 lumin without much research. Using it for outdoor movies and my budget is sub $200 bucks. Does anyone know if this brand is reliable and decent? I can't tell if what I have is good or not. Picture seems decent. I used it last night against my garage which is green wood siding. That leads into my next question. How much does a white screen help the picture? Is it noticeably better with a screen?
