Ok, due to a mix up with sky I had to cancel our old account (under my g/f ex's name etc.)

Upside to this is new account is having HD (and sports), result :)

We have a 37" HD downstairs and and 32" HD in the bedroom.

First problem is we only have 1 HDMI and 1 set of components downstairs.

360 is using components, Popcornhour is using HDMI.

I am guessing some sort of HDMI splitter (we have a harmony remote if that makes a difference).

Currently running RF upstairs with magic eye job.

What would I need to do if I wanted HD upstairs? (I have boat load of cat5 if that helps)

    Hi Daniel,

I bought an HDMI splitter off ebay from neetcables (think that was the vendor name). Works flawlessly when a power supply is connected. I then drilled a hole in the ceiling/upstairs floor and ran a 5m hdmi cable to the TV upstaris. Sky had already run the RF cable which you need to connect a TV link so you can change channels from the 2nd TV.

So as you already have RF2 from Sky HD box connected to the TV upstairs then just run hdmi cable to the 2nd TV and buy a splitter.

There are other ways of doing it with CAT5 but its more complicated.

    HTH

What about using component for downstairs TV?

    Does it look much worse?

Only concern is I have just 1 HDMI port downstairs, so I am going to have to use a doubling device (god knows what that should be called), then a HDMI changer (can you get automatic ones? or will I have to program the harmony to change this?).

edit; ahh no component on new hd boxes :(
