Hey guys I just recently upgraded my HT this last few months.

I have the Arcam AVR300 along with the Arcam CD73.

I just got the CD player today and plugged it in using a Digital Coax.
(Mids and Highs were great but the bass was nowhere to be found)

I then used a plain old boring Red and White RCA and plugged it into the CD input in the bottom left. Flicked the direct button and it sounded great!

My Q is..... Is this the best way to hook the CD73 to the AVR300?

I haven't got either of these devices, but my advice would be to connect it via analogue with the AV300 in pure direct mode. My ultimate advice would be to add a stereo amp, both the A65 and A75 can be had for less/around £200 on ebay. Don't compromise just to have one less box!

Yes the best way to connect your CD73 to the AVR300 is with the analogue connections.

    Hello :hiya:

Agree with the above. I have the same setup and have the CD connected via the analogue input and listen through Direct.

    Sounds brilliant

    Hope this helps.
