Just got one of these new and the thing whistles the whole time when viewing programs or just in standby.
No fan at the back of the box, opened up the case and there is a Seagate 160GB hard drive inside.
Strangely, this seems quieter with the case off than with it on. Even the Mrs noticed the whining of the drive, which I could bear if it was only while recording, but this is constant, even when only viewing.
Have only 1 input cable so have switched off Instant Rewind and Anytime TV, but no difference. Any ideas?
