Im looking to really customise my iphone 4 and was wondering does the one really need to be unlocked to used along with cydia in order to get thes best out of it.

Ive seen some pretty cool themse on a couple of different websites but not sure how it all works and how to get them on to the phone?

Your iPhone needs to be Jailbreaked (not unlock) to use Cydia themes.

What firmware do you've on your iPhone?

    Jailbreak your phone
Install winterboard from cydia then download a theme from cydia
    Open winterboard and activate it.

Currently running 5.0.1 firmware. I've been playing about with the phone today but there is only so much I can do. I've seen a few vids on you tube of people running cydia apps and it's mad to see how much extra you can get out of the Phone. How come this isn't allowed as standard? I.e, remove icon Id's, place icons how you want etc etc

Phones still under warranty with apple until July, I take it if I jailbrake and something goes wrong it's touch luck for me??

jailbreaking voids warranty as you are interfering with the os
but youd never take your phone to apple jailbroken, you restore in itunes first
that would wipe any trace of the jailbreak.
