After months of thinking, planning, advice....here at last is my new system. Many thanks to everyone here who has helped my thought process since March, and particularly Joe, who put it all together for me

Panasonic PHD8 50"
Lumagen HDP (SDI)
SKY PLUS (SDI)
Arcam DV79
Arcam AVR 300
KEF 2005.2 (upgraded to 6.1 system with long centre front speaker)

(Furniture...IKEA :D )

Stonking picture....highly recommended

All I need now is Sky HD !!!!

This sounds like almost exactly my thoughts, at least the video bit. Can I ask what connections you're using to the screen? Pan' make a big deal of their 14-bit DVI processing, but historically the VGA has been better, and 1:1, and can handle different refresh rates. Any info would be cool, thanks :).

Aren't we getting Joe and Liam mixed up here...
