    Hi,
I'm a home cinema newbie and am looking for advice on a reasonable entry level system. Unfortunately space is an issue. After looking at HTIB solutions I think I will get better quality with a slimline separates system and a subwoofer/satellite set up.
My budget is about £800 and would like something that also has reasonable music CD quality.

I have read good reviews of the pioneer slimlines together with the Elac cinema ones. I'm tempted to wait for the Pioneer 550 combination and the Elac Cinema XL package.

Tried the panasonic XR combination and wasn't impressed with music quality.....

Does anybody have any thoughts about my ideas or any alternative suggestions for me to try?
    Thanks
