New Synology DS-508 Tops NAS Charts

It tops almost every graph leaving it's competitors behind for performance

I hope when the rest of the Synology 08 models arrive, they will use the same hardware - 800mhz CPU and 256MB RAM

Although according to one website, the price looks like "you get what you pay for" at £660 for the empty chassis.

Yes it does look like a serious bit of kit

I do hope that Synology continue this higher end NAS spec over to their + models (108+, 208+ and 408) when they become available

They really do seem to be raising the bar, as soon as QNAP update their models to 256MB RAM, Synology trump it with a combination of 256MB RAM and 800mhz CPU

All good for the consumer
