I see the previously mentioned svs model number changes are finally happening http://www.svsubwoofers.com/news.htm
Looks like we could be looking at new woofers in the near future and with the model numbers relating to woofer size, mabe we are going to see 15 or even 18 inchers?
And I said I would never upgrade again

Listening to your old sub now as we speak, in my music setup and it's playing a treat.
No way can I buy any more subs at the moment but you can never say never as you well know!

If SVS start making subs with larger drivers I think they may have to start building bigger planes and homes! :D

I can imagine some resistance by some high-end buyers to 12" drivers. No matter how sophisticated they are or how many there are in the box. The area of a cone goes up as the square of the diameter. A 15" makes a better piston in some people's eyes. While an 18" is a serious dustbin lid with a magnet attached.

Perhaps the SVS boys and girls(?) are after the Genelec HTS6 market? :D
Or the pro market appeals for some serious worldwide tech. cred?
Do we sense a change of pitch from the "most bangs for your buck" that has ruled the SVS image so far?

The wood finishes must be shouting for attention from the well-heeled buyer. Perhaps they're going for the up-market and up-town buyer regardless of cost next? :smashin:

One is for me, another is for a fellow mini-powerbuyer.

But, I still own a PB2+, which I plan on stacking on top of the PB2-Ultra, to compare them, reduce vibration, it is the ideal spot to put them, and to see how much damage they can produce when used together. So yes, bring on the "Vacant - For Hire" signs....

I live in a strong concrete building. It won't be much more spectacular than what the Americans and French did in the Pacific, some decades ago. :D
