US speaker manufacturer, Klipsch, have just announced the launch of a trio of new subwoofers promising high efficiency sub-bass performance for home cinema systems at competitive prices.

The bass-reflex SW-308 active subwoofer uses a 300w BASH® Digital Hybrid amplifier and highly damped, non-resonant woven fibreglass 8in (20cm) driver, with a 4-layer voice coil on an aluminium former, and a pair of 8in (20cm) dual passive radiators and. The SW-308 measures 11in (under 30cm) square and is finished in black satin.

The SW-112 features the same 300w BASH Digital Hybrid amplifier as the SW-308 but this reflex front-ported design uses a single 12in (40.6cm) bass driver. Finished in black pica it boasts high/low level inputs and a response down to 26Hz.

The SW-110 is the 'baby' of this trio and comes quipped with a 200w BASH Digital Hybrid amplifier which is essentially a slightly smaller version of the SW-112, using a single 10in (25.4cm) drive unit to reach down to 28Hz.

Klipsch say all three subwoofers consume no more than 1 watt of power when in standby mode. The SW-308 has a srp of £799, SW-112 £599 and SW-110 £499.
