i am looking at building (or buyiing) a new study Pc for the office.

the only real requirement is a SATA aray for storing (and backing up) data files, esp digital camera stuff.

What motherboard, processor combinations would you suggest?

Raid would be pointless, grab an external USB/Firewire drive for a PC, specially one with one touch backup and a built in memory card reader

Innitally just storing stuff, but I would like to start being more adventerous with the technology...

when time allows me to start playing errrr investigating and learnign again.

Perhasp an external hard drive to begin with but have a SATA capability, I have it on my medai box, which has been very useful; and so if and whn, i have the mother board slot ready.
