New Sky+ install question

I'm having Sky+ installed today.
I currently have a Panasonic digibox with JS RGB to S-Video converter connected to the projector.

Can I/will I need to use the converter with my Sky+ box?

cant see any reason why not, as long as the sky+ box is set to rgb,
mine is being fitted on sunday and i am going to be using a rgb to component converter,

i have brought the portable tv from another room in , just incase the box is set to pal/ composite on startup, just so they can see the menu to select rgb.

2nd thought the sky+ has a s-video out i think.

Hi,

Yes, the SKY+ box has S-Video out so you shouldn't need your converter but you will need an S-video cable.

cheers

Thanks guys,

jmack-Thanks for the advice on using a portable tv. The engineer couldn't figure out why he couldn't get a picture to set up the box.

Everything is up and running now.
