I ordered Sky+ last night as a second box. I was told that I will get the new Sky+ box with 35 hours of recording time. Does anybody else have this new model of Sky+ box that can verify the increased storage space?

    Many thanks,

If you are recording low bitrate channels then you can squeeze 35 hours onto a 40gig drive, afterall the 20 hours quoted for the older design is only an estimation based on average bitrates.
So if they both have the same size hard drive and record the same programs they will have the same capacity, unless there are units with larger hard drives. Then again a more obvious conclusion is the CS rep is quoting inaccurate figures:)
