New sky+ box shuts down

I just got a new sky plus box. It intermittently shuts down as in it screen goes blank then the sky plus box powers off as in the red light turns up n not green

Then when we try n turn box on it wont turn on...we have to try after few mins

why is this happenein its annoying

I've had two of the new sky+ boxes, and they both were prone to the odd reset.

Although it makes no sense, I found that changing the scart lead reduced the problems to a minimum.

If you're worried, give sky a call and get them to replace it until you get a good one.
