    Hi all

Been looking through alot of threads on this forum ( great forum btw) about scart cables as I'm looking at buying a good quality scart lead.

Now I've seen a few and narrowed the list down to these few

    IXOS XHT801
    IXOS XHT611
    QED Sqart P2110 Performance Scart

I was moving towards the IXOS XHT801 Silver TILL I came across a thread where someone mentioned RGB only scarts

    Ixos XHV601-075
    QED AV41

Now I'm bit confussed as to what one to get, I'm after image quality as I have Yamaha amp for sound.

I noticed that Audiovisualonline have a special on atm

    http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/264/ixos-xhv601-075-0.75m-scart-cable-interconnect/display.html

now the price is very tempting but would just like some info as to what you recommend.

    TV/DVD I have is
JVC AV32T25 ( bit dark when set on RGB setting)
    Panasonic dvd S-75

Any help and info would be grateful as I've spent hours going through loads of threads and still cant make my mind up.

    Cheers

    BuBBa

    Cheers for the quick reply

Yeah sorted the darkness out abit after finding info on the forum yesterday about this issue, used the remote menu just upped the brightness up to full, other setings colour contrast wouldn't change. (bit of a pain having to keep putting brightness up when watching dvd's)

One of the reasons I'm looking at a high quallity scart was to try and eliminate this problem and create best possible picture. just not sure what one to splash money out on.

well dont go mad, using service menu to adjust brightness (need a Calbration DVD eg DVE PAL to do it properly) will correct this more than a scart lead can... £13 for disc and some playing time or £40 on alead for negligable results? as for a scart lead any of the ones listed will be fine... I actually use these: http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/PGV7392.html

    Guys,

I was looking at the QED P21 flat scart at £25 but am now intrigued about Profigold as I am buying 3 leads.

Hornydragon - do you know how they compare is it that you are more than happy with them and have no need to look elsewhere?

    thx,
    Bernie
