DigiUK are advertising two new Samsung DVD players, the HD850 and HD950. Anyone heard anything about these, are they replacements for the HD745 and HD945. They don't have any pictures or any mention of expected release dates. They're priced at £99.99 and £129.99 respectively, so looks like a bargain if they're any good.

    Look interesting.

There are pics if you dig about on google, look very similar to the 745/945, seems to be an extra button on the panel.

From the press releases the 850 looks to be HDMI, the 950 may be HDMI/DVI - there's also a 9500 mentioned for the same price as the 950... Looks like the 850 isn't SACD/DVD-A compatible.

All a bit sketchy at the moment so my comments may well be incorrect...PJ

but can ANYBODY please tell me if there is a seamless layer change on Samsungs or not?!

surely the other big names have to launch cheap HDMI players this year too though...with the new slew of HDMI TVs, the UK can't be neglected again, can it?
