New routines for 2016?

I have never really bothered before about trying to start need activities or new hobbies in the new year but after recent medical problems I have decided to try new things....

Most important is losing weight as prescribed by doctor
Next - taking the dog out more including during sideways rain we get on the east coast of Scotland
  • Next - learn to play a musical instrument. And on that front, just ordered the Yamaha 012 pacifica in red. Not got a clue how to time or anything else but hey no just give it go, why not
Last..... I'd successful losing the weight, get a bike! Hopefully!

Anybody else trying new stuff or new challenges in 2016?

Happy Christmas

For me start to eat healthier which making lunches at home rather than buying stuff out will make a massive difference and save money

Spend at least 15 minutes a day keeping thing in the house tidy rather than leave it for the week and then get annoyed at the untidy house.

Not completely "new" as I did it at school, but I've recently been thinking about trying to learn a different language properly.

I've always fancied learning Italian or Spanish or maybe pushing the boat out a bit and going for Japanese or Chinese.

For me start going to the gym more and up the Brecon Beacons to get myself ready for my walking trip to greenland in august.

I always have good intentions for the new year and most fall flat. The last two years I have completed dry January and I'm thinking of doing it again. Eat healthy, exercise more, get out more in general. Get a bit of structure and routine in general. Rekindle my romance with photography. Watch at least one film a week.

Good on ya! Will be worth it. I stopped drinking in 1996 totally! Don't miss it at all. Stopped smoking 8 years ago.

I have plenty of free time on my hands and don't know what to do with it.
May end up taking the Camera out more and teaching the kids how to use it.

Basically my life was all about getting stressed at work and in my free time slumping in front of the internet/tv with alcohol to try and de-stress/forget about work. I'm not waiting until 2016 - I have over the last month started altering my routine and am determined to continue into the new year. I want to turn live to work on its head. First three things to address are cutting back the booze, getting out more and finally stop buying cr*p and save more.

Good luck to all.

Same thing as i planned for 2010,11,12,13,14 and 15:facepalm:

Buy a house of my own

That's not actually a routine (though it is for many which is just one reason why it's so hard) but doing so should make it easier to kick start a few routines again.

Getting back on my bike. Cooking more (instead of ready meals)/eating more healthily.

Get a big screen tv and start watching things on a big screen (instead of my laptop:D) again.

I wish I could get fitter and healthier, lungs are smashed with the ciggies,,, I have ended my car lease contract and the motor should be collected in the next two weeks, just awaiting a date so it will be a lot more walking done rather than just out of the front door into the car
Its a start anyway
Might get a new camera and try to learn its control/use proficiently

Already eat healthy. Don't need to lose weight. Don't smoke, hardly drink. But i'd like to find a way to cram more hours into the day. I reckon 26 or 28 would be perfect.

I'm making it a resolution to write 2016 instead of 2015.

Hill climbing, I love the outdoors but since the kids came along I've not done any serious hill climbing. But I've got a load more outdoor gear for Christmas so no excuse not to get out there and enjoy the great North Yorkshire scenery

Lose the weight is my target (again).

I lost 4 and a half stone a few years ago, then piled 3 stone of it back on through laziness and complacency.

I'm hitting the wagon again in January. Also going to hit the gym hard and work towards my blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. BJJ progress is my main long term goal and losing the weight is one step in that path.

Stop the beer! Shame as I do enjoy it!! Lose the 2 stone I out on since the accident due to not being able to do anything.
Get a job I am capable of doing with ongoing injury.

Not much, hopefully two done in January, weight by end of February!

Make time for exercise instead of complaining I don't do any.
Use my camera more.
