New router double sync rate

Active Member
hi all

brought a new router the other day and installed tonight. the bt homehub i had was total pants i thought so i brought a second hand ZyXEL P-660HW-T1 v2 just to see if i could sync better than the 2000 kbps.
the homehub has slowly but surely been dropping line sync over the last couple of months as it use to sync at about 3000 kbps.
to my amazement this ZyXEL syncs at just over 4000 kbps !!! much better than any other router i have tried.
my questions are

1, is the homehub that bad or do bt limit/do something?
2, should buying a better/different router have that much of an effect?

1, No. You might have achieved the same by rebooting the HH

2, No. If after rebooting the doesn't re-sync at close to the new router's speed, it is faulty.
