    Hello all,

I currently own a toshiba mt-100 DLP and am looking to upgrade. I connect a xbox 360 via VGA and DVD via S-Video. I already have a ceiling mount and a very dark loft room.

I have been really pleased with it over the last 2 1/2 years until recently the lamp blew up and the picture has dimmed noticeable since the new bulb.

So i decided to go for a new PJ. At the moment I'm toying between the Panasonic PT-AE900, ThemeScene HD72 or the Sanyo Z4. Are there any other PJs I should look at?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.:)

    Thanks

Any preference from the projectors mentioned so far? LCD or DLP?

    God this is hard!

If you have been happy with picture quality that DLP delivers then if i was you i would concentrate firstly on the DLP projectors mentioned above.

If price is an issue(Sony HS60 excluded) and you want to pull in the purse strings then the LCD projectors listed are now capable of producing excellent results and would be definitely worth a look.

I started of with a LCD projector and then progressed onto DLP, when i was due to upgrade i was convinced that i would be sticking with DLP. Due to problems with rainbow effect I opted for the Sony HS60. And so far i have been very happy.

If not for rainbow effect i would have bought a ProjectionDesign (DLP) projector.

    Hope this helps.

As my toshiba is over 2 years old, does this mean that any of the current projectors, LCD or DLP will look better due to technology moving on? I jus want to make sure I'm not disappointed!
