Wanted to get a right angled power lead for the xde media box.

Site isn't working right now but was looking at www.Maplin.co.uk and product PU49D (right angled IEC mains lead)

It has a 5amp fuse which I guess I would need to change to a 13amp like the media box plug.

My problem is it says it is rated to 6A 250Vac. Would this be ok?

Anyone with electrcal knowledge please help cos I don't have a clue.

    Cheers.

seeing the display is only using 344 watts, it only needs a 2amp fuse. So a 3amp will be more than enough.

The fact the media box has a 13amp is in theory a bad thing as it means it won't blow should the box suddenly draw 3500watts. It should have a 3amp at most.

Just double checked in case I had used TV lead for media box or something and both are 13A. Even opened the fuses out to check.
