I have ventured into hi-fi after becoming tired of the poor performance of home cinema amps. I have added a Audiolab 8000a amp [also drives my fronts for movies] and would like any advice on CD to Amp phono connection leads. I have Kef floorstanders a pioneer stable platter cd player and silver anniversary speaker cable, I have tried QED Qunex 4s phono cables and find them a bit to bright in combination with the anniversary cable [ both silver] i am prepared to spend up to £100. I have had a dramatic improvement in stereo performance since adding the Audiolad [fab amp] and would like any further advice on improvements to my system i could make, the only bad problem i seem to have is vocals having that high pitched edge to them a kinda lispy screech. Describing it worse than it is but its noticeable!
