Still looking to buy a new PC. Originally I have been looking at AMD Athlon 2800XP, 160GB HDD, 512MB Ram, but not too sure now after reading about AMD Athlon 64.
Is it best to go for the newer AMD64?
    Hope someone can help

How long is a piece of string?

It depends entirely on what you want from your new PC. Obviously PCs/components change/are upgraded daily so as soon as you make your purchase, a faster CPU, better GPU, more highly specced mainboard etc. will no doubt appear the very next day.

Not 100% certain of all the advantages of the 64 bit AMD yet but I'm still pretty happy with an XP @ 2.5gHz.

    You pays your money.....
