I'm currently in the process of building a pc for the first time and cannot decide on the Mobo. I will be using it primarily for Flight Simulator X, Photoshop CS5 and a few other games from time to time. I will also be running the pc on a resolution of no more than 1680 x 1050 and will not use SLI/Crossfire. I WILL be overclocking my CPU to around 4.4-4.6GHz as Microsoft Flight Simulator X relies more heavily on CPU power than the GPU, and therefore will need that extra power. I have no idea which Motherboard would be ideal for this system and overclocking to these speeds as there are many around and the price ranges differ quite a bit. Below are the following components that I have already bought:

NZXT Phantom Black Full Tower Case
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155
Corsair H70 Hydro Series CPU Cooler
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit CL8
Corsair 850W HX Modular PSU - 80plus Silver Certified
Sony Optiarc AD-5260S 24x DVD±RW & DL SATA Optical Drive
OCZ Agility Series 120GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

PLUS:
I will be using the Wireless Network Card, Creative Sound Card and my current 500GB 7200rpm HDD with the new system.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

whats your price range and do you want a particular brand if so what one.

Thanks for the reply. My maximum price would be around £120-130. I am totally clueless on the brands of motherboards as i've never bought one before seperately.

Thanks for the reply guys. What sort of things should I be looking out for when deciding on the motherboard with the components that I have already bought. What are the main differences between these two that relate to the components that I have bought?

Scan.co.uk: Asus P8P67 Rev3 Intel P67 Express Socket 1155 Motherboard - P8P67 <Rev.3.0> - £122

Scan.co.uk: Asus P8P67 LE Rev3 Intel P67 Express Socket 1155 Motherboard - P8P67 LE <Rev.3.0> - £108

The £122 Motherboard has the following RAM specs:

DDR3 - 1066
DDR3 - 1333
DDR3 - 1600
DDR3 - 1866(OC)
DDR3 - 2133(OC)
DDR3 - 2200(OC)

The £108 Mother board has the following RAM specs:

DDR3 - 1066
DDR3 - 1333
DDR3 - 1600(OC)
DDR3 - 1866(OC)
DDR3 - 2133(OC)
DDR3 - 2200(OC)

As you can see, I have got a 1600mhz RAM and want to know what effect it will have if I opt for the 1600 or 1600(OC) motherboard.

Sorry to be a n00b at this
