I've just recieved my panny 42pwd6 with component and scart video boards but I'm worried that i have my settings too high for the first 200 hours.
can someone put my mind at ease and let me know if these settings are ok to start with...
picture mode: normal
contrast: -13
brightness: -4
colour: -3
tint: -1
sharpness: 1
white balance: normal
advanced settings: on
black extension: 2
input level: -12
w/b high r -5
w/b high b: 9
w/b low r: 12
w/b low b:12
one other thing... I've noticed that there are lots and green and red spots all over the dark areas of the screen which i know effects alot of panny plasmas and was expecting this but there is a 1" horizontal bar right at the top of the screen that looks darker than the rest of the screen in dark scenes that doesnt have any red/green spots on... is this natural with panny plasmas as i only see this on dvd's running on xbox (getting a prg scan dvd player soon) but picture is pretty much perfect when playing xbox games in progressive scan.
thanx in advance.
