Hi,

My mum wants a new TV after seeing my LG OLED.

She doesnt have an aerial at all and currently uses a humax box which im assuming gets its signal from her old Sky dish.

If she was to get the LG C2 could she do away with the Humax and put the satellite cable straight into the TV and receive the same channels as before?

Thanks

If she doesn't have a terrestrial aerial for Freeview, then presumably the Humax is a Freesat box so provided the LG C2 supports Freesat (which I believe it does) then she should be able to receive the same channels via her dish by connecting the TV directly to it.

Just note that if the Humax box is a PVR (Freesat recorder) and she does away with it then she'll lose the ability to make recordings, at least initially. Modern TVs do often have the ability to record to an external hard drive, but the functionality is more limited than a dedicated PVR.

Thanks for that Mike,

Its not a PVR its just to get some freesat channels.
