That's right! Nintendo have revealed their new console! It is not a follow up to the Cube or the GBA. It is gonna be called the Gameboy Enchanced possibly GBE? It will play Gamecube games, GBA games, GBC games and GB games. From the looks of it in the foto, it doesn't look like it'll read Cube game discs. Does this mean that the Cube games will be transferred to cartridge or WILL it read discs? Don't see why not, the PSP will. This console with will be revealed properly to the public later on at Electronic Entertainment Expo. It will come out before the PSP, looks like Nintendo have made something that will keep up with the PSP! Or even beat it! Yes, definetley beat it. While the PSP has the graphics of the PSX/PS1, the GBE has the graphics of a Cube! This handheld console will cost between $129.99 and $199.99. It will most likely cost £150 here. Thank god I'm getting a job! Retailers have confirmed that this was the big surprise that was kept a secret. I've gotta write to Nintendo Magazine about this!

    Here's a piccy:

PS - Cross between a GBA and cube controller huh? Like the fact it has a flip up lid! BTW, the game on the screen is F Zero GX. It has 2 analog sticks, d-pad, L and R buttons and the A, B, X and Y buttons. Nintendo have denied the fact that this is the new console. Is this a hoax or for real? More news as soon as I find it!

Good find cube, looks like the disc goes in that bit below the screen, looks a bit bulky though, i wonder if you'll be able to connect it upto a larger screen.

Now that would be kewl! A portable Gamecube! Wonder if the games would get any cheaper for it? Where'd I find it? Got the link to the site from a Pokemon site... :(

EDIT: Wireless? Wouldn't that be a little like the N-GAGE? Doesn't matter, another good idea! Who's excited about this if it is real!?

Darn...I wanted to be the first one to say it's a fake:D

btw you can see the F Zero disc under the screen so, if it was real, it would have played GC discs

    IMO that render looked rubbish.

Would love to see new Ninty handheld though.

If it can do all the PSP is reputed to do (even though its roughly a year at best from release) then :D

It may be a fake, but the real thing might not be that far off.

It's just a 'cube with the Game Boy adaptor and a LCD screen - all of which are easily available at the moment and have a relatively small power usage.

With recent semiconductor advances the internal cooling shouldn't be too much of a problem as it's now old technology. I wouldn't expect significant battery life though - it'd be akin to a "laptop-console"

Its a very good idea by Nintendo, it shows they are thinking about being competitive like all businesses should, after the snes, the big N thought they were kings and could change the market in ant fashions, but they were wrong, this time things seem t change, the N Ds or what ever its called is a crafty weapon on their hand agianst the psp, nintendo know the gba/gba:sp is selling like hot cakes, by competing against the psp it will look inferior, they do not want the sales to be affected so releasing a newer type hand held wil do the job, anyway sony did say its not in direct competition with the gba, so nintendo must have taken this into account as being bullsh*t and release a comepetitor for the psp, looks like e3 will be great 4 ninty and sony. Bring it on!!!
