Hi, I have ordered Mission M5ds for my surround, if you have a look at my signature you will see that I have a bit of everything, so my new surround should match/sound better than the old Canon, does anyone own M5ds speakers?? What do you think of them?? was mine a good choice??
Hope this will please Ian, as he though my rears(speakers) were a bit of a let down

I would be interested in your opinion of them when you have them set up - unfortuantly my M7ds are a little bit sick and probably wont recover - kids with waterpistols and speakers dont mix.

I contacted Mission for their opinion of rears to go with my M74i/M7c2 fronts and they put the M5ds last in the options saying they wont match the fronts as well as others (particularly the M3ds)

    Cheers

I used to have the Mission M7DS which I thought were excellent value for money and they should sound far better than your pre historic Canons.

    thank you Ian
I thought you might say something like that. I couldn't find M7ds, so what is the difference between the M7 and M5?

I don't really know. The M5 is the current design whilst the M7 is a few years old now but I have no idea whether the sizes or drivers are different

Officially the M5ds are from a higher range but the real differences aren't really noticeable in sound. They are a different shape and the M5ds retail at £20 more than the M7ds. If you want a direct replacement for the M7ds try the m3ds and if you want a better version then it's the 78ds which are much better quality. All good products though!

I got the 77ds (Mission Cinema 7) which was the first generic bipolar design by mission, looks similar to the m7ds and m5ds, fine surround speakers. Just remember to set the rears to small on your amp as they dont go that low.

I Am looking for some surround speakers myself

And was wondering if these would go with my Mission M73 Fronts and M72 Rears?

    Any Advice?
